History of Paint South Dakota

SDHDA started the Paint--South Dakota Campaign in 1998 as part of its 25th Anniversary celebration. The concept behind "Paint - South Dakota" is to bring people together, provide a new coat of paint to a needy household, and help beautify the community.

Since then, 248 homes across South Dakota have been painted, resulting in more than 4,400 gallons of paint and primer being applied by 4,300 local volunteers.
