DakotaPlex Pilot Project

In response to the shortage of affordable housing in our rural communities, South Dakota Housing Development Authority created the DakotaPlex Pilot Program. Rural communities of populations of 5,000 or less can apply to be part of the pilot program. One entity will be chosen for the pilot program. DakotaPlex units will be built by the prison inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield. Units will be based off of the Governor's Houses and will be one, two and three bedroom units to be used as a duplex, triplex or fourplex.

Application Deadline: June 1, 2019 at 5:00 pm Central Time.

Completed applications must be delivered (via U.S. Postal Service, private mailing service, or hand delivery) to SDHDA by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the applicable due date. Applications via facsimile or e-mail will NOT be accepted.
