How do I rehabilitate existing rental housing?
Preservation of existing housing and subsidies is a goal of SDHDA. SDHDA financing programs are targeted to low income families and can be combined with conventional financing to provide mixed income housing. Typically, properties with less than 24 units utilize the HOME Program for financing. Large programs typically use Housing Tax Credits or Bonds.
