Notice of Public Comment and Meeting: Housing and Community Development Plan
A Public Comment Period will be held to take comments on the proposed 2005 Update to the Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan and the 2005 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing.
All comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 . A public meeting to accept comments on the Plans will be held in conjunction with the South Dakota Housing Development Authority’s Annual Housing Conference at 12:00 noon CST on November 23, 2004 , at the Ramkota RiverCentre located at 920 West Sioux Avenue , Pierre , South Dakota .
The 2005 Update to the Consolidated Plan details how housing and community development resources will be allocated during the period from March 1, 2005 , to February 28, 2006 . Specifically the Plan summarizes policies for administration of allocation plans for the HOME Program ($3.8 million), the CDBG Program ($7.9 million), the Emergency Shelter Grants Program ($350,000), and the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program.
The Consolidated Plan and the Analysis of Impediments are available for distribution and may be obtained by accessing the SDHDA homepage at www.sdhda.org, by requesting a copy via email to Tasha@sdhda.org, by calling (605) 773-3181 or (TTY) (605) 773-6107, or by writing to SDHDA at PO Box 1237 , South Dakota 57501-1237 . Alternative formats of the plans are available to persons with disabilities upon request.
Persons interested in presenting comments may do so by attending the public meeting on November 23, 2004 , as listed above, or by sending the comments to SDHDA at PO Box 1237 , Pierre , SD 57501-1237 , by faxing to (605) 773-5154 or by E-mail to vona@sdhda.or g . All comments must be received by 5 p.m. CST on November 30, 2004 .
Notice is further given that the November 23 meeting is being held in a physically accessible location. Please notify the above-mentioned office within 48 hours of the public hearing if you have special needs for which SDHDA will need to make arrangements.
