Additional HOME Funds Available – Applications Now Being Accepted
The South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) announces the availability of additional HOME Investment Partnership Program funds. Approximately $1.5 million is available for this second round of funding. Applications are due to SDHDA by 5:00 p.m. CDT , on Friday, September 30, 2005 . Interested parties can obtain more information or an application form by calling 605-773-3181 or visiting www.sdhda.org .
The HOME Investment Partnership Program provides funds to developers and/or owners for acquisition, new construction, and rehabilitation of affordable housing. HOME funds may be invested in both rental and homeownership activities.
SDHDA specifically encourages designated non-profit Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) to apply for HOME funds. In accordance with federal regulations, SDHDA has designated fifteen percent of its HOME formula funds to CHDOs.
