The South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) will be holding a Board of Commissioners meeting at the Holiday Inn City Centre, 100 W. 8th Street, in downtown Sioux Falls on Wednesday, August 28 starting at 9:30 a.m. CDT.
"This is a great opportunity for members of the public to come visit with SDHDA Commissioners and participate in assisting low and moderate income families with affordable housing solutions," said Bill Earley, SDHDA Board Chairman. "I am hoping that we have a good showing from area residents at the meeting."
The public is encouraged to attend, and copies of the meeting agenda may be obtained by calling 1-800-540-4241. Please note that this meeting is being held in a handicap accessible location.
SDHDA will also meet with its underwriting team and representatives from the Southeast Technical Institute Housing Foundation to complete the issuance of $2.555 million in Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds. Upon completion of construction, the Southeast Tech complex will house 100 students in four-bedroom units, each with common living and kitchen areas.
In addition, SDHDA will be closing the sale of $60 million in Homeownership bonds, giving more First-time homebuyers access to low 4.25% - 5.25% mortgage interest rates. The additional funds will assist more than 700 South Dakota First-time homebuyers in fulfilling their dream of homeownership.
