Earley Elected Chairman of SDHDA Board of Commissioners
Governor Bill Janklow announced today the election of William F. Earley of Sioux Falls as the Chairman of the South Dakota Housing Development Authority's (SDHDA) Board of Commissioners.
Earley brings over 20 years experience in the housing and lending industries to the Authority. He is currently the Vice President & Community Relations Officer for Wells Fargo Financial Bank in Sioux Falls.
Bill Earley has been active in state and local organizations serving as President of the Sioux Empire Housing Partnership, Vice President of the Habitat for Humanity of South Dakota, President of the Sioux Falls Community Development Corporation, and a Board Member of the Sioux Falls Charter Revision Commission. He was also the past Chairman of the South Dakota Economic Development Corporation, and past Vice Chairman of the South Dakota Building Authority.
"The housing industry has always been an integral part of my life," said Earley. "I feel honored to be part of an agency that has done so much for the residents of South Dakota and I look forward to tackling future challenges to strive towards safe, decent, and affordable housing for everyone in our state."
The Authority's Board of Commissioners establishes policy for the organization. Other members elected were John Rothstein of Mobridge, Vice Chairman and Bob Jenssen of Sioux Falls, Treasurer. The six member board also includes Tom Schramm of Winner, Leland Kleinsasser of Huron, and Kevin Culhane of Yankton.
The South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) is an independent, quasi-public agency that finances and develops affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate-income residents throughout South Dakota. SDHDA is totally self-supporting and receives no tax money, appropriations or other funding from the State. SDHDA does not discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, handicapped, familial status or national origin.
