This past March SDHDA Homeownership Program staff took their show on the road. They presented eight Participating Lender Training sessions in five different locations across South Dakota.
A total of 185 Lenders attended several three hour sessions that included topics like a David Letterman Top 10 list of why loan files are held up for purchase. Participants also had an opportunity to collect playing cards by answering questions throughout the session and the best playing card hands were awarded prizes.
Over one third of the participants were first-time attendees.
"Our Participating Lender Training Sessions become more and more popular every year," said Brent Adney, Director of Homeownership Programs. "Not only does it help Lenders identify areas in processing that need improvement, but it also gives staff an opportunity to hear from Lenders how SDHDA can improve it's service."
